Ministries at Saint Thomas Lutheran Church Recently, we decorated and stuffed 100 Christmas stockings for shut-ins. The stockings and stuffers were donated by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. The stockings were decorated by our Sunday School children and then stuffed by the adults. Yes, we got a little dizzy going around and around the table, but that just added to the fun.
The following day we took the stockings to Brandywine in Englishtown and shared them with the residents. Pastor Mike prayed with many of the residents and we all had a good time.
We are a group that enjoys having fun. We enjoy picnics, potlucks, Pastor Mike's Hot Dogs and Blue Claws games.
We are involved with the Samaritan Center to help provide food to the hungry in our area. In addition to an ongoing collection of food, Pastor Mike makes his famous Hot Dogs and we take a free will offering for the Samaritan Center. Have you tried a hot dog with peanut butter and relish? Yum!
